Exensys to use RFID tags to track miners January 23, 2006

Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology can now be used to track workers in deep mines. Exensys Software Solutions is developing a tool that is based on RFID devices and active tags that emit signals and messages to be picked up by multipoint readers. The tracking tool is expected to be very useful in emergencies and disaster management. It can also be useful in large estates and exhibitions. Exensys also plans to integrate the tool to its enterprise resource planning modules.
